Emma has an MSc in Biomedical Engineering and is now a PhD student at Simon Fraser University. During this internship Emma will apply data analysis and visualization techniques to the interRAI data in order to translate key health indicators to stakeholders. Her research interests include understanding properties of big data systems as measures of cognitive health in older adults. Through this process Emma hopes to identify strategies that will help maintain or promote good cognitive health. Emma’s professional goal is to focus on translational research and apply her findings to industry settings and technological development in ways that will best fit individual needs.
