Amanda Nova (hear my name) MSc PhD(c) is a researcher who is passionate about gerontology and who has expertise in mixed-methods research from her joint PhD studies at the School of Public Health Sciences at the University of Waterloo and the Department of Biomedical Sciences at KU Leuven, Belgium. Before joining the SE Research Centre, Amanda explored the use of interRAI data to enhance quality of life for long-term care home residents, and led several research projects related to home care, primary care, and acute care. Her peer-reviewed publications highlight key themes, including health system integration, decision-support, and person-centred care. Amanda’s primary area of focus at the SE Research Centre is in the Models of Care Delivery priority area, where she collaborates with a wide variety of partners, tackles complex challenges, and leverages multiple data sources to evaluate the impact of innovative models of integrated home and community care on Quadruple Aim and Health Equity framework outcomes. Amanda is committed to conducting meaningful, innovative, and high-quality research that has a positive impact on the lives of aging Canadians including SE Health’s clients, caregivers, and care providers.
