John is a Master of Health Science student in the Applied Health Sciences program at Western University. In his role as a Research Student at the SE Research Centre, John will provide support in updating the Community Health Nurses of Canada Home Health Nursing Competencies to reflect the shifting landscape of home health nursing in community settings. As a practicing Palliative Care Registered Nurse (RN), John focuses on facilitating and improving the shared decision-making process by meeting health literacy needs of his patients and their family members. During his undergraduate studies, John was a Mitacs Globalink Research Intern in Brazil, where he conducted research fieldwork as part of a multisite project that explored obstetric violence.
