Marie is an incoming Master of Health Informatics at the University of Toronto. Through her Master’s training, Marie hopes to learn how big data and data-driven decision-making can be leveraged to improve the planning and operations of the Canadian health system. As a Summer Research Student at the SE Research Centre, Marie will provide various support in modelling the economic impact of the Long-term LIFE care at home model, an innovative model of home care developed by researchers in the SE Research Centre. In her previous work, Marie conducted a media review of the impact of community mobilization supporting migrant agricultural workers on COVID-19 policy-making in Ontario. This project led to developing research interests in health equity, health policy, and social determinants of health.
