Ryan is a graduate of York University's Master of Health program, specializing in health policy and equity. His thesis research project critically evaluated Canada's national poverty reduction strategy to better understand its potential impact on poverty and inequality in Canada. Stemming from an interest in language and power, Ryan's research applies an equity lens to understand the ways in which policy and practice affect people incongruously. As a Research Associate in the SE Research Centre, Ryan provides support to health services research projects that focus on understanding the contemporary challenges of health care delivery and addressing challenges through innovative solutions.
