Dr. Shawna Cronin is a registered occupational therapist and health services researcher with a PhD from the University of Toronto. She specializes in applying quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods approaches to complex health systems questions—ranging from access to primary care and other health services to the evaluation of programs and models of care—and has experience working with health administrative databases to support these investigations. With a background spanning clinical practice, research, and evaluation, Shawna brings a deep understanding of the health care system to her work. As a Research Fellow at the SE Research Centre, she leverages her expertise in mixed methods research and co-design to lead projects aimed at improving home care delivery for personal support providers and advancing rehabilitation services in the home care sector.
